The annual meeting of the Children's Reading Foundation of the Upper Cumberland to air on DTC3

The 3rd annual meeting of the Children's Reading Foundation of the Upper Cumberland was held in Woodbury on Monday, November 14, 2016, and DTC3 was on hand to film it.

The Children's Reading Foundation of the Upper Cumberland iserves nineteen rural school districts with approximately 60,000 students and is in partnership with the Tennessee Department of Education and Upper Cumberland Center of Regional excellence (CORE).

Area Christmas Parades slated to air on DTC3

Several area Christmas parades have been held in recent days, and DTC3 has been on hand to film all the festivities. The parades will air in the coming days on the local channel.

The Carthage Christmas Parade was filmed on Sunday, November 27. It will air on the following days:

Sunday, December 4 - 7:00 p.m.
Monday, December 5 - 8:00 p.m.
Tuesday, December 6 - 3:00 p.m.
Thursday, December 8 - 6:00 p.m.
Friday, December 9 - 11:00 a.m.
Saturday, December 10 - 5:00 p.m.
Saturday, December 24 - 5:00 p.m.

Livingston Academy - Smith County game to air this week on DTC3

The Smith County Owls opened the district portion of their 2016-17 high school basketball schedule on Friday night, December 2, at Bill Landreth Gymnasium against the Livingston Academy Wildcats. The DTC Sports crew was on hand to film the doubleheader. Terry Collins and Randy Jennings had the call of the games.

The Livingston Academy - Smith County doubleheader will replay on DTC3 and DTC3 HD (ch. 303) on the following days:

Tuesday, December 6 - 7:00 p.m.
Wednesday, December 7 - 1:00 p.m.
Friday, December 9 - 7:00 p.m.
Saturday, December 10 - 7:00 p.m.

Local law enforcement to be featured in all-new episodes of Saluting America on DTC3

DTC3's highly popular Saluting America show returns in the month of December with several brand new episodes, beginning Monday, December 5. The spotlight will shine on emergency personnel from around Smith County, beginning with Carthage Police Chief Brit Davis. Saluting America host, Nick Nokes, will go one-on-one with each guest, giving a behind-the-scenes look at their services to our area communities.
