Gordonsville-Smith County hoops clashes to air this week on DTC3

Smith County hosted Gordonsville on Tuesday night, November 24, in the first of two meetings between the two inter-county rivals this season (the next will be on Saturday, Jan. 2). The DTC Sports crew was on hand to film the doubleheader, with Terry Collins and Randy Jennings handling the play-by-play and commentary duties. The games will air on DTC3 and DTC3 HD (ch. 303) on the following days:

Friday, November 27 - 7:00 p.m.
Saturday, November 28 - 7:00 p.m.
Sunday, November 29 - 1:00 p.m.
Tuesday, December 1 - 7:00 p.m.

New Saluting America, featuring Medal of Honor recipients, highlight Thanksgiving Day programming

DTC3 and DTC3 HD (channel 303) has a special programming lineup set for Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26, featuring an all-new Saluting America. The latest installment of the popular local series turns the patriotic spotlight on Congressional Medal of Honor recipients, Leo K. Thorsness and Harold A. (Hal) Fritz, who were special guest speakers at an assembly at DeKalb Middle School on August 7, 2015.

DeKalb County's Jennings named DTC Wireless Player of the Year

Each season, DTC Sports selects an outstanding player from the DTC service area for the DTC Wireless Player of the Year. For the second year in a row, DeKalb County High School junior quarterback Steven Jennings was named the recipient of the honor. Steven was chosen based on his outstanding performance throughout the 2015 regular season, in which he completed 140 of 249 passes, for 2,131 yards and 19 touchdowns. Additionally, Steven rushed for 906 yards on 161 carries – an average of 5.6 yards per carry – with eight additional touchdowns.
